The Ferriz-Ferrière Method

The Ferriz-Ferrière Method is a considered approach to yoga that brings together mindful movement, conscious breathing, relaxation and focused attention.

Rooted in the teachings of Dr Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière, it values regular, individualised practice over performance, supporting each person to develop greater body awareness, steadiness and balance at their own pace.

What is the  House of Culture Dr David Juan Ferriz Olivares?

House of Culture Dr David Juan Ferriz Olivares is a world cultural organism of public utility, it belongs to MAGNA FRATERNITAS UNIVERSALIS Foundation Dr. Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière, based on his thought and his exegete Dr. David Juan Ferriz Olivares.

It has as purpose to contribute to the intellectual and integral improvement of mankind, in order to make real the ideal of a world united through knowledge, comprehension and a true brotherhood, beyond politics, race, religious, gender, socio-cultural and age differences.

It is based on the great principles of TOLERANCE, TRUTH AND PEACE.

Its work of individual formation is impartial regarding any political, intellectual, religious point of view, trying to offer a wider vision of the great principles and the Universal Thought.

The House of Culture Dr David Juan Ferriz Olivares is present in 20 countries around the world:
Argentina, Australia, Brasil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Peru’, Puerto Rico, Salvador, Spain, Switzerland, USA, Venezuela

The method is truly holistic, integrating body, breath and thought: "Thought is the master of feelings and the breathing movement is the master of thought", a principle drawn from Dr Raynaud de la Ferrière's writings. Its foundations combine flexibility, self-massage techniques from Hatha-Yoga, and conscious breathing to support "glandular balance, the loosening up of the spine", and general wellbeing, while respecting each student's own beliefs and pace.

Truly holistic and welcoming

Beyond the physical, the method addresses posture and breathing as gateways to emotional balance: the source material notes that improving "posture, body awareness and breathing" can increase "motivation, self-esteem, optimism, serenity, patience and tolerance". Teachers are encouraged to attend to these details "since the first classes", because the aim, as in the method's first level, is "to reach serenity and peace in the students".

Improves mood and self-perception

Accessible whole-body practice

The Ferriz-Ferrière Method rests on the Psychophysical Exercise developed by Dr Serge Raynaud de la Ferrière, described as "an accessible discipline, progressive and harmonic", with effects observed "in different levels of the organism, either in whom begin or in whom have a physical active life".

Prompt physical benefits

Regular practice "widens the thorax capacity and strengthens the diaphragm, facilitating a deeper breathing", gradually building toward complete yogic breathing while oxygenating and purifying the blood. The harmonic stretches and contractions also support venous return and lymphatic drainage, benefits described as "especially useful for whom spend many hours standing or seated", alongside gentle stimulation of digestion and the internal organs.
